MQT COVID-19 Practices 

 

The goal of this document is to outline the minimum standards for safety that employees and clients during the COVID-19 crisis. Because of the evolving nature of the COVID-19 crisis, this document may be updated to reflect the most current recommendations from city, state and federal sources. Nothing in this document is meant to supercede or contradict official recommendations issued through health agencies or other government entities.

Maquette is a supporter of the Art Services Worker Safety Coalition, an industry-led group dedicated to establishing universal minimum safety protections for workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

 

 

Maquette Facilities

  • All Maquette personnel should wear face coverings while working in and around MQT facilities

  • All Maquette personnel will self-monitor their health and receive body temperature recordings before entering work 

  • All personnel should wash their hands once entering the workspace

    • Masks and gloves, and sanitizer are being made available by MQT however, any individual can choose to bring and use their own face coverings 

    • Reusable masks that will need to be maintained by the user with frequent washings and disinfecting, A daily disinfectant spray will be available as well  

  • When at all possible a distance of 6 feet between staff members should be maintained 

    • Larger meetings will be held in the open storage area or over zoom to allow for proper distancing 

    • Face shields can be made available if working in close proximity is a must 

  • The disinfecting of all surfaces that are regularly touched will be done each morning and evening, a deep clean will be done at the end of each week 

  • Each employee will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting their own tools which should be done daily this will include the iPads which should be disinfected after each use 

  • The breakroom should contain no more than two staff members at a time and bathrooms only one at a time

 

Maquette Facilities Visitors

  • All visitors must wear PPE while inside the Maquette facility​

  • Visitors will not be allowed to use the MQT breakroom during this time

    • Restrooms will  be available for emergencies but limited to one person at a time

  • All visitors should respect a 6 foot all visitors should respect between each other and the MQT staff 

  • While using the viewing room should be aware that no more than two visitors may be in the room at a time

 

Receiving: Into Maquette Facilities

  • Maquette must be made aware of all incoming shipments 24 to 48 hours before arrival 

  • The client should provide the shippers information, objects information including size and weight, and an approximate time of arrival 

  • The following procedures should be relayed to all shipping companies entering Maquette’s loading docks: 

    1. The shipper should contact Maquette an hour before arrival 

    2. All shipper’s staff is expected to where proper PPE while working with Maquette staff which would include a face covering and nitrile gloves 

    3. Once arriving at Maquette's facility the truck should park parallel to the building and the truck crew should ring the exterior intercom or call the office making us aware of their arrival 

    4. The truck staff should open both doors of the truck and await a Maquette crew member 

    5. The Maquette staff member will be shown which objects will need to be removed from the truck 

    6. Once the dock gate is fully rolled up the truck may back up into one of the open loading docks 

    7. The truck crew shall remain in the truck as the Maquette crew removes the objects from the truck 

    8. Once the objects have been removed one of the truck crew members may enter the exterior loading dock area to visually inspect the objects that have been removed and sign off on paperwork 

    9. The truck should then pull out of the dock and continue on

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Releasing: From Maquette Facilities

  • Maquette must be made aware of release requests 24 to 48 hours before arrival 

  • The client should provide the shippers information, objects detailed information, and an approximate time of arrival

  • The following procedures should be relayed to all shipping companies entering Maquette’s loading docks: 

    1. The shipper should contact Maquette an hour before arrival 

    2. All shipper’s staff is expected to where proper PPE while working with Maquette staff which would include a face covering and nitrile gloves 

    3. Once arriving at Maquette's facility the truck should park parallel to the building and the truck crew should ring the exterior intercom or call the office making us aware of their arrival 

    4. The truck staff should open both doors of the truck 

    5. The dock gate shall open, and the truck should back up into one of the open docks 

    6. The truck crew shall remain in the truck until the Maquette crew has placed all the objects inside of the exterior dock area 

    7. The truck crew will then be allowed to enter the exterior dock area and load and strap the objects into their truck 

    8. Once completed one truck member shall remain behind to sign off on any paperwork 

    9. The truck should then pull out of the dock and continue on

 

 

 

Maquette Trucking Procedures 

  • All trucking staff shall wear N-95 masks and Nitrile gloves while working inside and outside of the truck 

    • The for staff will be issues N-95 masks for weekly use 

  • We will have fixed teams during transitional period

  • The truck's interior should be wiped down with provide sanitizer at the beginning of each day and every time a trucking staff member reenters the vehicle at any time throughout the day 

  • The nitrile gloves should be changed after any stops or jobs that the truck has performed 

    • While changing the gloves the staff members should sanitize their hands 

  • When entering a third parties’ facility please be aware of a 6-foot distance between all people 

  • At no time should there be more than 2 people inside a truck cab or truck box, this will include any couriers that may be present during operations 

    • If a courier is requested for a job, we will offer a follow car or van, but at no time should they ride inside our vehicles 

  • At this time, any request for installations, crating on site, large scale packing onsite, or any other activities that will require a compromise of the above social distancing requirements will be handled on a case by case basis and reviewed by Maquette management before booking or scheduling

 

Client Interaction

 

  • Client Services Staff to brief clients on safety guidelines in advance of services

  • Provide an agreement regarding safety protocol and expectations prior to job and have the client sign the agreement and return.

  • Sample client requests under consideration include:

    • Limiting persons in the home when possible

    • Opening windows when possible

    • Cleaning area prior to arrival, allowing for area of work to be quarantined for 48 hours when possible.

    • Client wears proper PPE when interacting with Handlers

  • Example guideline text below (for residential services):

  • Following the guidelines outlined below we can help ensure a safe [delivery/collection/site visit] for everyone.

  • Clients should maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from the work team at all times.

  • Client should disinfect and clear space before the arrival of the work team to give them ample room to [unpack, install, place the work]

  • Client should open windows prior to our team’s arrival

  • Anything the client can do to clear the space and provide a safe environment for the work team is greatly appreciated.

  • Masks will be required when interacting with all employees

  • If anyone in the client residence is not feeling well on the day of scheduled services, we ask that the client call to reschedule.

  • Strategies for “Limited Contact” during services

    • Work team calls when outside residence or work site

    • Client has doors open whenever possible (residential services only)

    • Client limits persons in the residence during services

    • Implement contactless BOL procedures where possible

 

 

Screening with Couriers

 

  • All screening will take place in designated screening area.

  • Prior to screening, area must be cleared to allow adequate space for screening process and social distancing

  • One courier allowed in the designated screening area at a time. There will be a 3 person maximum occupancy in the area at all times.

  • A designated spot will be provided for courier to stand or sit during screening where they have a

  • full view of crate.

  • All couriers must have approved PPE and respect social distancing

  • Delivery truck for crates will park on the street until crates are ready to be loaded (post-screening)
